The government position is that of learning to live with COVID-19, removing domestic restrictions while encouraging safer behaviours through public health advice. In view of this, hand cleanser and masks will be available for attendees upon request.  The committee room will be well ventilated and attendees encouraged to avoid bottlenecks and maintain an element of social distancing. Section 24 Direction Consent

The Executive is recommended to:

i.   Approve the General Consents to the District Councils under the Direction made under Section 24 of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 as attached in Appendix 2.

ii.   Delegate the ability to grant specific consents under the Section 24 Direction to:

·          the relevant Executive Member; and separately to

·          the Section 151 Officer in consultation with the Monitoring Officer and the Section 151 Officers of the District Councils.





Implementation Plan Approval to create the new North Yorkshire Council
