PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION

To award a construction contract to JP Developers Ltd at a value of £211,602.60 for the refurbishment of Scarborough Library and Customer Service Centre.

BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION

A competitiveprocurement exercise was undertaken during November and December 2022 and January 2023 utilising the YORbuild framework.  The scheme is programmed to commence on site in March 2023 and is due to complete in April 2023.

LEGAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE

A competitive procurement exercise was undertaken by the Council’s Procurement and Contract Management Service.

RECOMMENDATION

That a construction contract be awarded to JP Developers Ltd.
