Appointments to Committees and Outside Bodies

1.0	Purpose of the Report
1.1	To enable appointments to Committees and Outside Bodies to be considered.

2.0         North Yorkshire Health and Wellbeing Board   

2.1         NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board will now be represented by Ali Jan Haider, Director of Integrated Health and Care, with Nancy O’Neill, MBE., Chief Operating Officer,  the designated substitute.  (The two have swapped – it had been Nancy as the representative with Ali Jan as the substitute.)

2.2         From the creation of North Yorkshire Council on 1 April 2023, the current categories of District Council Elected Member representative and District Council Chief Executive representative, will no longer apply.

2.3         In their place, the Board recommend that the following become Members:-

- the Executive Member for North Yorkshire Council, with responsibility for Housing and Leisure; and

- the Corporate Director for Community Development, North Yorkshire Council (or their nominated representative for Housing and Leisure)

3.0 3.1

Recommendation That the Executive i) note the change to the membership of the North Yorkshire Health and Wellbeing Board, as stated in paragraph 2.1, above. ii) recommend to the Council that the Executive Member for North Yorkshire Council with responsibility for Housing and Leisure and the Corporate Director for Community Development, North Yorkshire Council (or their nominated representative for Housing and Leisure) become Members of the Board.
