Nidderdale Greenway Steering Group

1.0       PURPOSE OF REPORT

1.1       To provide Members with the report of the Nidderdale Greenway Steering Group and ask for their comments.

2.0       BACKGROUND

2.1       The Nidderdale Greenway Steering Group was established by North Yorkshire County Council and Harrogate Borough Council to investigate the extension of the Nidderdale Greenway. The current Greenway extends from Harrogate to Clint, and the Steering Group supports in principle its extension to Wath.

2.2       At the 14 December 2023 ACC meeting, Members agreed to review the steering group’s report and provide their comments.

3.0       NIDDERDALE GREENWAY STEERING GROUP REPORT

3.1       The Nidderdale Greenway Steering Group Report is attached at Appendix A.

4.0       ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS CONSIDERED

4.1       This report is for information only.

4.2       Members may recommend that the report is reviewed by the Council’s Transport Planning Team.

4.3       Members may suggest that a scoping form for the £50k Economic, Regeneration, Tourism and Transport Project Development Fund for the Area Constituency Committees is produced.

5.0       IMPLICATIONS

5.1       There are no financial, legal, equalities or climate change implications as this report is for information only.

6.0       REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS

6.1       This report is for information only.
