PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION

To award a contract to Axel - Exel Ltd at a cost of £ 165,250.00 excl. VAT for replacing the Queens Suite Lift at Harrogate Convention Centre.

BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION

A competitive procurement via open tender through YORtender exercise was undertaken in November 2023. The scheme is programmed to commence on-site in July 2024 and is due to be completed in September 2024.

LEGAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE

A competitive procurement exercise was undertaken by the Council’s Procurement and Contract Management Service.

RECOMMENDATION

That a construction contract be awarded to Axel – Exel Ltd.
