Water Retailer Contract

PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION

To enter into a new Water Retailer contract for the supply of water supply and services for North Yorkshire Council.

BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION

To ensure North Yorkshire Council has consistency of water supply and services, a new Water Retailer contract is required.  The contract will encompass all of the meter points of North Yorkshire Council corporate sites, as well as traded schools and academy portfolios.

LEGAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE

A Gateway report will be considered in accordance with the Council’s Procurement and Contract Procedure Rules.

This is a key decision.  The Water Retailer contract was entered on the forward plan on the 29^th May 2024.

RECOMMENDATION

That a new Water Retailer contract be entered into.
