Reason for decision

This proposal is simply to transfer land out of NYC’s portfolio to the Coast and Vale Learning Trust, or another nominated Trust. The land will be brought back into use as a new secondary school.

It is considered that the proposal will have a positive effect on those factors listed from NYC’s perspective, but only because they will transfer over to the DFE.

The proposal will have no overall impact from the point of view of the County. However, once the school is operational there may be some efficiencies that benefit the wider County due to the investment from the DFE. These are not yet know and cannot be quantified for the purpose of this assessment.
