North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Panel
1 May 2025
Work
Programme
2.0 The Panel is responsible for setting its own work programme taking into account the statutory duties that the Panel must undertake and the priorities defined within the context of the Police and Crime Plan and Fire and Rescue Plan. The work programme at Appendix A highlights those issues which have been previously agreed or which have been raise through the Chair since the last meeting.
3.0 Following publication of the Mayor’s two statutory plans at the end of March/beginning of April, work is underway to ensure that the work programme from July 2025 enables the Panel to best scrutinise performance of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor in relation to progress against the plans’ priorities. As such, some items are identified as ‘provisional’ at present.
4.0 Members are reminded that it is preferable for the Panel to agree just a couple of key substantive reports to come to each meeting to enable sufficient time for discussion.
5.0 All full Panel meetings will continue to be held in person and venues are highlighted on the programme where these have been confirmed.
