PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION
To award a contract for Compliance and Maintenance - Asbestos Abatement: Asbestos Removal for North Yorkshire Council, following the completion of a procurement exercise to:
· European Asbestos Services
BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION
The intention to procure was entered onto the forward plan in May 2024 and the decision to procure was made on the 10th January 2025, with the procurement being a key decision.
The contract awarded will be for a duration of three years with options to extend for a further two – two-year periods (resulting in a maximum contract period of seven years).
LEGAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE
The procurement exercise was undertaken by the Council’s Procurement and Contract Management Service January to April 2025.
The procurement of the contract was a key decision. The proposal to procure was entered on the forward plan in May 2024.
RECOMMENDATION
That the contract be awarded for Compliance and Maintenance - Asbestos Abatement: Asbestos Removal be approved.
