5.0       Mayor’s updates to Area Committees

The Head of the Mayor’s Office at the Combined Authority has confirmed the following.

As previously agreed, the Mayor will attend the September meeting of each AC to provide an update and respond to questions.

In addition, a written update will be provided to the March meeting of each AC, which will be tailored to the geography of the AC where possible.

It was suggested that if Members have questions they can write to the Mayor or submit public questions to be dealt with at meetings of the YNYCA Cabinet (the new name for meetings of the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority).

If Members are interested they can use the link below to sign up to the Combined Authority’s fortnightly newsletter which provides the latest news on the work of the Mayor and Combined Authority Newsletter Signup: Stay Connected with York & North Yorkshire.

The YNYCA Cabinet meets monthly, and the minutes always begin with a roundup of the Mayor’s activities since the previous meeting along with details of decisions made. The Mayor also regularly attends the Combined Authority’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee where an update is provided. Both meetings are streamed on the Combined Authority’s YouTube channel York & North Yorkshire Combined Authority - YouTube and agendas and minutes are available online Browse meetings - Cabinet - York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority
