Decision:

To award contracts for Hard Facilities Management Services – Fixed Electrical Inspection and Testing and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), following the completion of a procurement exercise to John Cullerton and Sons Limited for both the East and West contracts.

Reasons for the decision:

The Council made the decision to re-procure Hard Facilities Management Services – Fixed Electrical Inspection and Testing and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), East and West, due to the initial contract period on the current contracts ending on 31st January 2022. The proposal was entered onto the forward plan in July 2021 and the decision to procure was published on 17th September 2021, with the procurement being a key decision.

A procurement exercise was undertaken by the Council’s Procurement and Contract Management Service during September to December 2021.

A Gateway 3 report has been considered in accordance with the Council’s Procurement and Contract Procedure Rules.

Each contract awarded will be for a duration of two years with the option to extend for a further two, one year periods. Maximum contract period 4 years.
