A contract be awarded to P C Richardson &
Co for the provision of carrying out a maintenance works contract
to Intack Bridge, North Yorkshire. The form of contract will be a
NEC4 Short Contract for the sum of £60,200.00 and is
scheduled for June 2022. Scheme is funded from the Bridges revenue
budget, the estimated price was £40,000.00, so no previous
record has been submitted for approval to procure.
NYCC has a statutory duty to maintain its
highway structures under the Highways Act 1980.
Due to the condition if no work was carried
and any further deterioration occurred it would be necessary to
either restrict traffic with barriers and two way lights, impose
weight restrictions or close the road.
