Decision:

To extend the current framework in place for the supply of IT hardware purchased by the Authority for Schools, Council buildings and non-Council small and medium enterprises. It is used as a traded service to increase profitability for the Authority.
This is the first of three 12 month extension periods available now the initial term of 24 months has finished.
The contract in place works successfully allowing consumers such as schools the ability to choose from a range of suppliers available on the framework ensuring best value is sought with every purchase.

Reasons for the decision:

*PLEASE NOTE This decision was originally published on or near the date of the decision and so call in no longer applies. It has been re-published as part of the change in committee management system that we use.*
To ensure continuity of the contract allowing the Authority to purchase IT hardware for our Council buildings and schools.

Alternative options considered:

Re-procurement of this contract was not an option due to the current climate around Covid-19. The partnership between the Authority and the Supplier works successfully therefore, it was deemed an extension would be more beneficial economically and resourcefully. The contract in place adequately meets the Authority’s requirements.
