To abandon the procurement procedure for the construction of a new primary school on land to the east of Manse Farm, Knaresborough

The land where the construction of the new school was to take place is not currently owned by the Council. At the start of the procurement procedure it was anticipated the land for the development of the school would be provided to the Council by the developer in accordance with the S106 Agreement. Unfortunately, the development of the Manse Farm site has not progressed as per the developers original programme due to a number of factors including house sales, build out rates, infrastructure installation and diversion. In part some of these delays are due to COVID-19. The developers are therefore not in a position to offer the site for transfer. The original construction programme cannot be met and therefore, the procurement exercise must be abandoned.
