Approval has been given to progress with the design and implementation of Option 1 (Two mini Roundabouts) as an Improvement scheme at Bond End Junction, to introduce Air Quality benefits to the designated Air Quality Management Area.

Approval has been given to share the results of the Air Quality modelling work and recommendations with Harrogate Borough Council’s Air Quality Officer Group, with a request that further complimentary measures to address air quality at the junction should be included on future Air Quality Action Plans.

To introduce a Junction Improvement scheme at the Bond End Junction, that will present the greatest opportunity for improvement to local air quality.

Further options in addition to the recommended option were considered and discounted in line with the submitted report.
