To update the existing Yorwaste Services
Contract to deliver waste composting and recycling services in the
Hambleton and Richmondshire areas.

On 18 March 2014, the County Council’s Executive agreed the
principle of awarding relevant contracts for future waste services
to Yorwaste without competitive procurement, where Regulation 12 of
the Public Contract Regulations 2015.
This is the latest decision in this process, and caters for
services to be delivered to Hambleton District Council and
Richmondshire District Council under a Collaboration
Agreement.

Decisions relating to works contracted with Yorwaste have been
delegated to the Assistant Director (Transport, Waste and
Countryside Services) since 26 July 2011.
