the Executive Member for Access, in
consultation with the Executive Member for Open for Business and
the Corporate Director for Business and Environmental Services
authorise the Corporate Director – Strategic Resources to
accept the offer of grant funding to the value of :
£615,000 for road safety improvements on the A682 from the
Lancashire Border to the A65 at Long Preston under the Department
for Transport’s Safer Roads Fund, to be spent in the 2018/19
financial year;
£7,065,000 for road safety improvements on the A684 from the
Cumbria Border to the A1 at Leeming Bar under the Department for
Transport’s Safer Roads Fund, to be spent in the three
financial years from 2018/19 to 2020/21;
£2,972,000 for road safety improvements on the A6108 from
Ripon to Scotch Corner under the Department for Transport’s
Safer Roads Fund, to be spent in the three financial years from
2020/21 to 2022/23.

To allow NYCC officers to progress the detailed design,
consultation and delivery of the schemes included in the Safer
Roads Fund packages of works, subject to acceptance of the grant
award by the Corporate Director, Strategic Resources.
