To allow NYYCC to bid for additional funds to implement walking and
cycling improvements to give residents an alternative to public
transport and the private car particularly during the COVID 19
Pandemic. This is additional funding that will mean that new
cycling and walking infrastructure can be built.
NYCC could have opted to not submit a bid for
this funding opportunity.
