Decision:
After consideration of a report of the
Corporate Director Children and Young People’s Service and
after consultation with Executive Members, the Chief Executive
Officer agreed, under his emergency delegated powers, that:
i) The proposals and statutory notices be published on 30 April to
lower the school age range of Riccall Community Primary School from
1 September 2020.
ii) A final decision on the proposals be taken on 23 June
2020.

Decision taken by Richard Flinton, Chief Executive Officer, under
his emergency delegated powers and in consultation with Executive
Members.
The Governing Body of Riccall CP School has asked the Local
Authority to propose lowering of the age range of their school from
4-11 to 2-11 in order to offer nursery education for two and three
year old children.
The consultation process has revealed widespread support for the
proposal. The Governing Body considered the consultation responses
on 2 April and voted in favour of proceeding to seek the approval
of the Executive to publish statutory notices.
