Decision:

The Corporate Director of Business and Environmental Services in consultation with the Corporate Director Children and Young People’s Service has approved the awarding of 166 contracts to successful contractors following the completion of a procurement exercise for mainstream home to school transport and local bus services in the Craven and Ryedale areas. Some miscellaneous routes in other areas of North Yorkshire are also included within this award.

The total value of all the contracts is estimated to be £22,217,516.18
The contracts are for a duration of 2 years, plus two options to extend for a further 12 months.

To allow the continuation of Local Bus Services to provide access to key services for the travelling public

To ensure continuation of home to school transport services for pupils entitled to transport in line with the council’s policy and statutory requirements.
