To reject the petition submitted by Snape with Thorp Parish Council requesting NYCC funds and install additional highway safety measures on Kings Keld Bank, Bedale but approve
to allow Snape with Thorp Parish Council to fund additional highway (subject to approvals of NYCC) measures Kings Keld Bank, Bedale.

Following a fatality on this section of the network a Fatal Collision Inspection was carried out but found that the highway was not contributory to the causation. The report made recommendations for minor improvement works to the road markings and carriageway surface.

Snape with Thorp PC petitioned for further action to be taken by NYCC however, there is no justification for further County Council investment. Subject to the type and scale of further measures, it is considered acceptable for the Parish Council to fund some additional improvement at this location.
