The Corporate Director for Community
Development has approved to award the contract to the successful
tender following a best value quotation exercise, to carry out
refurbishment and retro-fit works on a property owned at Chapel
Lane, Horton.
The Council has received grant funding from
MHCLG to deliver improved carbon and energy efficient measures to 3
empty homes, this home being one of them. All grant funding needs
to be expended in 2024/25. The Council sought quotes from 8 local
contractors. The selected contractor submitted the most
economically advantageous quote. The award will allow for the
refurbishment and retro-fit works to be undertaken and the property
be brought up to decent home standard which will include energy
efficient measures.
A contractor was sought tendering via
YorTender, but only one quote was received which was deemed not to
be value for money.
The In House Development Team were unable to take the project on at
this time.
