Decision details

i) agreed in principle to submit bids to the Department for Transport (DfT) National Productivity Investment Fund for Northallerton Connections package and a Enabling Development and Business Growth in West Harrogate package.

ii) agreed that the Corporate Director – Business and Environmental Services, in consultation with Corporate - Director Strategic Resources agree the details of the final bids to be submitted

Bidding to secure funding for transport improvements in North Yorkshire.

A number of other potential bids were considered (see report) but rejected on the basis that the selected packages for Northallerton and Harrogate were the most deliverable in the required timeframes and best met the necessary criteria for the funding hence representing the best chance of success.
