Therefore, I David Bowe, Corporate Director of Business and Environmental Services, formally request that the Assistant Chief Executive (Legal and Democratic Services) take action under Sections 143 and 149 of the Highways Act 1980, including issuing court proceedings if necessary, to secure the removal of the unauthorised bin store and tables and chairs on the public highway known as Bondgate Green adjacent to the Water Rat Public House, Ripon to protect the Council's interests and to assert and protect the rights of the public to use the highway.
