Decision Maker: Executive Member for Education, Learning & Skills

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: No

Decision:

That following public consultation the change of use of children’s centre premises at Easingwold and Whitley & Eggborough be agreed.

That it be agreed that there should be a further phase of projects to explore a change of use of children’s centre facilities at Skipton Greatwood CP School, Skipton Ings CP and Nursery School and at Boroughbridge, Filey and Derwent Valley Children’s Centres.

Reasons for the decision:

*PLEASE NOTE This decision was originally published on or near the date of the decision and so call in no longer applies. It has been re-published as part of the change in committee management system that we use.*

On 29 April and 9 December 2014 the Executive Member for Schools and Early Years approved consultations with stakeholders on proposals to change the use of some children’s centre premises. It is intended that the children’s centre services will still be available in the areas concerned albeit in a different form. Consultations have been carried out with relevant stakeholders and no significant concerns have been received in relation to these centres.

A further phase of projects will also commence in relation to the premises listed above.
