The two debtors totalling £25,718.59, which are considered
irrevocable to be written off.

In both cases robust attempts have been made by Credit Control,
Legal Services and Health and Adult Services to recover these
amounts.
In the case of the first debt recovery – his son has no legal
powers to act on his deceased father’s behalf and therefore
the Council has no legal recourse for recovery of the debt.
In the second case, the client lacks capacity to understand
finances, and has no savings with which to reduce the debt
accrued.
Further time to pursue the outstanding debts, however it is felt
that we have currently explored all possible avenues.
