To allow a Discretionary Top Up Grant of
£99,069.20 to enable a ground floor bedroom and bathroom
extension, ramp and specialist bathing equipment for a disabled
child. Total value of the adaptations will be over £50K with
the mandatory and discretionary funding in place.
Further to a consultation carried out with the
Disabled Adaptations Advisory Group on 13/02/2024 it was agreed
that these works were the best solution to meet the needs of the
disabled child by the provision of an extension and specialist
bathing equipment.
Due to the constraints of the property this is
the most effective option.
