Decision:

The proposed 10 tonnes structural weight limit and the amendment to the 7.5 tonnes environmental weight limit is implemented.

Reasons for the decision:

*PLEASE NOTE This decision was originally published on or near the date of the decision and so call in no longer applies. It has been re-published as part of the change in committee management system that we use.*

Officers believe that if the proposed 10 tonnes weight limit is implemented, it will not only enable the County Council to comply with its duty under Section 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to secure the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of vehicular and other traffic (including pedestrians) so far as practicable having regard to (inter alia) the desirability of securing and maintaining reasonable access to premises and the importance of facilitating the passage of public service vehicles, but will also allow formal enforcement action to be taken.
