The Corporate Director – Children and
Young People’s Service has agree that the academy conversion
charge should be uplifted to £8,850 for the financial year
2026/27.
The increase was made to reflect the
increasing amount of officer time that is taken in dealing with
academy conversions. The charge only applies to voluntary academy
conversions in accordance with legislative requirements.
