Approval by the Corporate Director for Community Development for the submission of a grant application for £49,999 for the Rock and Roll project (part of the Selby Park Development Project) to the Movement, Activity and Sport Fund, administered by North Yorkshire Sport.

The scheme complements adjoining Station Gateway Scheme which will create a new entrance into Selby Park.

1. Alternative leisure facilities were considered but rejected on the grounds of suitability and/or duplication.
2. Should the grant application not be submitted or not be unsuccessful, the project will be delivered on a smaller scale using NYC funds only.
