To abandon the procurement procedure for the
construction of a new primary school on land to the east of the
A167, Darlington Road, Northallerton
The land where the construction of the new
school was to take place is not currently owned by the Council. At
the start of the procurement procedure it was anticipated the land
for the development of the school would be provided to the Council
by the developer in accordance with the S106 Agreement.
Unfortunately, whilst the land has been offered to NYCC, and that
offer accepted, the land has not been transferred and risks remain
around the timing of the transfer, programme and cost implications.
The original construction programme cannot be met and therefore,
the procurement exercise must be abandoned.
