To allow a Discretionary Top Up Grant of £37,680.32 to enable a ground floor side extension to provide two separate bedrooms disabled children. Total value of the adaptations will be over £50K with the mandatory and discretionary funding in place.
Further to a Consultation carried out with the Disabled Adaptations Advisory Group on 7 May 2024 it was agreed that these works were required to enable the provision of two additional bedrooms for a family with a number of children with disabilities.
Due to the constraints of the property and the needs of the children this is the most effective option.
