Engineering and Construction Contracts.
Reasons for the decision:
To carry out repairs to maintain the safety of
the bridges.
Alternative options considered:
Strengthening of the existing structure was
preferred over replacement due to difficulties with supporting
services and cost for Limehouse Lane.
Due to the amount of movement which has occurred on Beck Hole it
would be difficult to successfully tie back the wall and as a
listed bridge, consent would be required and unlikely to be
granted.
