To amalgamate Moorside Infant School and
Moorside Junior School in Ripon to create a single 3-11 Primary
School on the junior school site on 29 April 2019.
To create satellite specialist provision from Mowbray School on the
Moorside Infant School site from 1 January 2020.

The Executive agreed on 27 November 2019 to the publication of
statutory proposals to amalgamate Moorside Infant School and
Moorside Junior School in Ripon to create a single 3-11 Primary
School on the Junior School site, and to create satellite
specialist provision from Mowbray School on the Moorside Infant
School site.
Statutory notices were published on 11 January 2019 for a period of
four weeks until 8 February 2019 and within that time no
representations were received regarding the proposals.
In considering proposals for a school
expansion, the Executive Member for Education & Skills as
decision maker can decide to:
? reject the proposal
? approve the proposal
? approve the proposal with modifications
? approve the proposal subject to them meeting a specific
condition
