Decision:
To implement the proposed restructure of the School Improvement
Service with effect from 1 January 2020. This follows a period of
consultation with staff, trade unions and professional
associations.
Reasons for the decision:

date of the decision and so call in no longer applies. It has been
re-published as part of the change in committee management system
that we use.*
The proposed service aims to provide a clear and consistent
non-traded core offer to schools which meets statutory requirements
whilst developing further a traded arm which allows for schools and
settings to purchase additional services from the Local Authority.
The service offer, both statutory and traded, will be delivered
within a revised financial envelope following planned savings of
£750K in 2019-21.
A formal staff consultation has been carried out from 04 June to 03
July. Throughout staff have been continually engaged with regarding
changes to the School Improvement Service and this will
continue.
