Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: No

Decision:

To support the Humber, Coast and Vale (HCV) Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships application to NHS England to become an Integrated Care System.

Reasons for the decision:

*PLEASE NOTE This decision was originally published on or near the date of the decision and so call in no longer applies. It has been re-published as part of the change in committee management system that we use.*
The NHS 10 year plan requires each area to be part of an Integrated Care System (ICS) to be part of an ICS. The concept of an ICS is to create partnerships of NHS Commissioners, provider, local government, academic organisations, community and voluntary sector to work together to improve health and wellbeing. North Yorkshire County Council is already a partner in the West Yorkshire and Harrogate ICS. This decision allows NYCC to express an interest to be a partner in an application for the organisations across HCB to become an ICS.

Alternative options considered:

If NYCC is not a partner it could be disadvantaged in influence and possible share of resources and may negatively impact on joint working in order to support the health and wellbeing of people across North Yorkshire.
