To authorise the Corporate Director of
Strategic Resources to accept a funding grant of £563,000
from Highways England Growth and Housing Fund for improvements to
A1(M) Junction 47.

The funding will help to deliver and enhanced improvement at A1(M)
Junction 47 helping ti improve the capacity and safety of the
junction, whilst also helping to open up nearby land for employment
growth.
This scheme would combine originally planned works with developer
led works ensuring that;
• only one period of construction works instead of two and
would be required
• the development of the business park and associate
employment growth would
be brought forward
No other alternative options were
considered.
