To elect a Member to act as Chair of the meeting.

Decision

That Councillor Barbara Brodigan be elected as Chair for the duration of the meeting.

There were no apologies for absence.

All Members are invited to declare at this point any interests they have in items appearing on this agenda, including the nature of those interests.

There were no declarations of interest.

To confirm the procedure to be followed at the meeting.

Decision

The Sub Committee agreed the procedure for the meeting as outlined by the Chair.

The Corporate Director, Environment sought the determination by the Sub-Committee of an application for the grant of a Premises Licence for The Pateley Club, 42 High Street, Pateley Bridge, HG3 5JU.

The options available to the Sub-Committee were

To take any of the following steps as the Licensing Sub-Committee considered appropriate for the promotion of the licensing objectives:

·       Grant the variation to the licence as applied for.

·       To grant the variation to the licence with conditions.

·       To reject the application in whole or part.

Decision

The Sub-Committee members considered the licensing officer’s report, all written and oral representations from all parties and statutory guidance and taking into account all the above, unanimously agreed to GRANT the application with the following conditions attached:

·       Except for ingress and egress, all windows and doors at the premises be kept closed between 19:00hrs to 09:00hrs.

·       No amplified music nor speakers be allowed in the external areas of the premises.

·       There should be no disposal of bottles and/or waste in the external areas of the premises between 21:00hrs to 09:00hrs.
