PDF 8 MB Minutes: The Corporate Director – Environment sought the determination by the Sub-Committee of an application to grant a Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence for 12 months that did not comply with the standard criteria as stated in the Council’s Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Policy. Options available to the Sub-Committee 1. Grant the application for a period of one year. 2. Grant the application for a period of one year with additional conditions, or 3. Refuse to grant the licence on the grounds of any reasonable cause. Decision To grant the application for a Hackney Carriage Licence for 12 months with the following additional condition: a. Six monthly tests are required.
