Information about North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Panel

The Panel is a joint committee of North Yorkshire Council and City of York Council.  It is responsible for providing a check and balance to the performance of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.  Its duties include making recommendations on proposed senior appointments such as Chief Constable and Chief Fire Officer, reviewing the proposed precept for policing and fire and rescue, and agreeing the draft police, fire and crime plan.
