North Yorkshire Council intends to enter an agreement with landowner surrounding Roebeck Bridge for the dedication of approximately 85m2 area of land for highway purposes pursuant to section 72 of the Highways Act 1980 to enable the construction of an embankment to replace a collapsed retaining wall.

Application to the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority Community Fund has been approved for providing a £20,000 grant to go towards the funding of new steel safety doors on the public conveniences of Harrogate.

i. Acceptance of funding to the amount of £103,382 of the Environment Agency Flood Defence Grant in Aid to enable scheme development during 2025/26 2026/27 subject to appropriate terms and conditions being received and

Additional loan headroom is required to ensure Brierley Homes can make all payments due in the event of some delayed sales.

Living Well Smokefree are going to market to procure a Patient Group Directive (PGD) via Community Pharmacies on behalf of North Yorkshire Council. The purpose of this procurement is to enable safe and appropriate provision of stop smoking medications, via Community Pharmacy, that have returned to market within the UK. An options appraisal was completed in 2024 to explore all available routes to market before confirming that a PGD was most suitable.

Approval has been given for the procurement of a Patient Group Directive (PGD) via community pharmacies on behalf of North Yorkshire Council. The procurement will enable safe and appropriate provision of stop smoking medications.

i) Agreed to publish the Decision Statement which confirms the modifications made to the submission version of the Clapham cum Newby Neighbourhood Plan and Policies Map.

ii) Agreed that as modified the Plan at appendixes 2 and 2a meets Basic Conditions and other necessary requirements

The Housing Service has Operational Teams who are responsible for carrying out void works to the housing assets. However, we require backup specialist Contractors to ensure void (empty) properties are brought back into use within acceptable standards and are carried out within the timescales required.
Therefore, the Service wish to procure two contracts covering work in empty properties across the Housing stock area as below: -

The report presents the Housing Improvement Strategy, a document which sets out the longer-term approach to service improvement, as we move from crisis/ recovery phase through to stabilisation and thinking beyond compliance to our ambition to become an exemplar social landlord. The Strategy establishes internal target timescales for meeting the requirements of the consumer standards, although actual re-grade will be dependent on the Regulator for Social Housing’s inspection timetable.
