To seek approval to undertake a public consultation on the proposed introduction of North Yorkshire Council's House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) Amenity and Space Standards, based on national guidance and standards. The proposed standards will replace the differing legacy standards inherited from former district and borough councils, providing a consistent countywide approach to the assessment of HMOs for licensing, amenity provision and space requirements. The report will set out the proposed standards, consultation methodology, stakeholder groups and proposed timescales.
