To consider the outcome of the public consultation on the proposed adoption of National Amenity and Space Standards for Houses in Multiple Occupation and to formally adopt these standards. The standards, based on national guidance and best practice, will replace the differing legacy standards inherited from former district and borough councils and provide a consistent countywide framework for assessing HMOs in relation to licensing, amenity provision and space requirements. The report will summarise the consultation findings, set out any proposed amendments arising from feedback received, and seek approval for implementation of the standards across North Yorkshire, along with transitional arrangements
