Application for grant funding from the DfT Structures Fund

 

 

To submit an application to the Department for Transport (DfT) Structures Fund for grant funding of between £25 million and £50 million to support the replacement of the A19 Selby Toll Swing Bridge and mechanical and electrical refurbishment works to the A63 Ouse Swing Bridge and to authorise officers to finalise and submit the funding application on behalf of North Yorkshire Council.

Reason for urgency:
The Department for Transport announced the funding opportunity with a short application period and the submission deadline falls before completion of the normal call-in period. Delaying implementation of the decision would prevent or significantly prejudice the Council's ability to submit an application for grant funding of between £25 million and £50 million for the Selby Swing Bridges scheme. A call-in exemption has therefore been sought to enable submission of the funding application by the Department's deadline
