Purpose:
To agree acceptance of funding from Ministry
of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and to enter
into funding agreements with third party grant recipients - to be
identified
Decision:
Executive Member for Open to Business, in
consultation with the Corporate Director – Business and
Environmental Services authorised the Corporate Director, Strategic
Resources to accept the funding of £768,876 from the MHCLG
and to enter into funding agreements with third party grant
recipients.
Reasons for the decision:
To allow acceptance of funding from the
Department of Levelling Up Housing and Communities which will be
used to fund the York and North Yorkshire Local Enterprise
Partnership project ‘Delivering a carbon-negative energy
system in North Yorkshire.’
Alternative options considered:
The Community Renewal Fund is a single round
of government revenue funding which requires no match funding on
behalf of the applicant and there is no similar alternative means
of funding and delivering this project.
