Following consultation with the relevant
Executive Member, the Director of Public Health agreed to the
commissioning of a sexual health service provision from the 1 April
2020 and approved to spend money allocated from the ring fenced
public health grant.

Gateway 1 approval was needed prior to commencement of the service
from 1 April 2020. The current service ends on 31 March 2020.
Approval was also required to spend money from the ring fenced
public health grant.
In-house option was considered but due to the
clinical nature of the service this is not a viable option.
