That a Public Path Creation Order is to be
made to create a section of public bridleway to connect bridleways
15.54/129 and 15.54/61.
The decision was made as there has been public
pressure to enhance the public rights of way network by connecting
the 2 cul-de-sac bridleways to make them contiguous, by creating a
5m length of linking bridleway.
The possibility of creating the section of
bridleway by Agreement with the relevant landowners had been
explored but this had been rejected by the landowners. The 2 routes
could remain as cul-de-sac paths, but this is unsatisfactory for
the users of the public rights of way network, and potentially
could lead to deliberate or inadvertent trespass to make connection
between to 2 routes.
