Purpose:

This report is in relation to the re- procurement of Office Furniture Removal, Storage and Disposal Services. The current contract is due to expire 31 July 2023 and the proposal is to advertise the opportunity via a competitive procurement process advertised via Yortender portal.

Decision:

To proceed with a procurement of Office Furniture Removal, Storage and Disposal Services via an open tender process advertised on the Yortender platform for a period of 24 months starting on 1 August 2023 with two optional extension periods of 12 months.

Reasons for the decision:

The current contract expires 31 July 2023 and there is still a requirement for Office Furniture Removal, Storage and Disposal Services.

Alternative options considered:

Use a compliant framework, however, it is thought this may exclude SME’s as they may not have submitted a tender for the frameworks due to the requirements being nationwide.

The service cannot be provided in house.
