Purpose:

To agree the indicative headline structural highways maintenance capital allocations for 2024/25 delivery based on current planning assumptions.

Decision:

Approval of the schemes brought in to the 2023/24 Highways Capital annual programme because of the additional 2023/24 funding received from the Department for Transport (DfT);
additions to the Highways Capital Forward Programme for Structural Highway Maintenance identified since the last Highways Capital Programme report dated 26 August 2022 (not open to call in);
agreement of the indicative headline structural highways maintenance capital allocations for 2024/25 based on current planning assumptions;
carry out the relevant procurement processes.

Reasons for the decision:

The recommendations will enable Council officers, working alongside the NYHighways and partner organisations to develop the 2024/25 annual programme.
