Purpose:

The purpose of this report is to seek approval from the Director of Resources to procure a contract which incorporates a new provision of a digitalised care records system and an e scheduling system. The contract will supply our health and social care field workers to move away from the current paper system used and increase productivity.

Decision:

The decision has been taken to procure a digital care record and e scheduling system to limit the amount paper based operations within our care provider services teams.

Reasons for the decision:

The reason for the decision was to improve our social care offering and to reduce the amount of paper methods within the services.

Alternative options considered:

To not procure a new system and to contain to work manually, recording data within files.
